History

Graves Brothers Company has been in continuous existence and family ownership since 1895. The company has grown and shipped premium quality Indian River citrus fruit since the early 1920's. It has earned a reputation world wide for growing and shipping very high quality "Indian River" type Florida grapefruit. Indian River grapefruit is grown in a very limited area on the east coast of Florida, USA and is known world wide for its high juice, thin rind and sweet taste characteristics.

Today the company produces over 2.0 million boxes of oranges and grapefruit grown on over 7,200 acres (2,880 hectare) and ships 1.5 million boxes of grapefruit throughout the world from its own packing house. Markets include the continental USA, Canada, Europe and the Far East.

Graves Brothers Company is located in Wabasso, Florida USA about seventy (70) miles (113 Kilometers) from Cape Kennedy in Indian River County in the heart of the world famous Indian River citrus fruit growing region. Its groves are located in Indian River, St. Lucie and Hendry counties of Florida.

Graves Brothers Company is a member of the The Blue Book, Florida Citrus Packers, Florida Citrus Mutual, United Fresh Fruit & Vegetable Association and the Florida Fruit & Vegetable Association.
